The management teams stated that the recent coverage did not fully reflect the structure of the campus, the difference between the separately licensed entities, or the work that has been done since operations began in December 2023.

The management teams explained that one of the main points they want to clarify is that the campus should not be presented as one single facility with one single license, one single service type, or one single regulatory history. The campus includes different residential and care settings, and each has its own role, structure, and operational focus. Because of this, King David believes that any public discussion about the campus should clearly separate independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, post-acute care, and rehabilitation services.
“Since beginning operations in December 2023, our teams have worked every day to rebuild, improve, and strengthen this campus for the people who live here and for the families who trust us,” said a representative of the management teams. “There is still work to do, but we are committed to doing that work in a responsible way, with attention to our residents, our staff, and the broader Beachwood community.”
The organization said that it respects the role of journalism and public reporting, especially when it involves senior care and community institutions. At the same time, King David believes that recent coverage did not provide full context about the campus, its different entities, and the ongoing work taking place across the community. The management teams stated that they have requested corrections and clarification because they believe residents, families, staff, and the public deserve accurate information.
King David Center for Senior Living OH also emphasized that the needs of residents and families remain the central priority. The management teams said they continue to encourage residents, family members, and responsible parties to communicate directly with facility administrators when they have concerns, questions, or suggestions. “Our doors are open to residents and families,” the representative added. “When there is a concern, we want to hear about it. When there is a question, we want to answer it. When there is something that can be improved, we want to review it and continue working on it.”
The Beachwood campus has gone through a period of transition since December 2023. The management teams stated that transitions in senior living and healthcare settings take time, especially on a large campus with multiple care and residential services. They said the focus has been on stabilizing operations, supporting staff, improving communication, and continuing to build a welcoming and reliable community for residents.
King David also noted that the campus serves different types of residents with different needs. Some residents are part of independent living, while others may need assisted living, memory care, post-acute nursing, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation. Because these services are different, the management teams believe it is important for public information to be accurate and clear about which service, building, or licensed entity is being discussed.
The organization stated that it is continuing to review internal processes, resident communication, family support, and service delivery across the campus. King David said its goal is not only to respond to recent coverage, but also to continue improving the resident and family experience over time.
The management teams also expressed appreciation for the staff members who continue to serve residents every day. They stated that the campus depends on the work of caregivers, nurses, administrators, support staff, dining teams, housekeeping staff, rehabilitation professionals, and others who contribute to daily life across the community.
