Walters Wedding Estates Celebrates Grand Opening of Luxury Hill Country Venue The Laiken

Walters Wedding Estates unveils The Laiken, a luxury lakeside event destination in Lago Vista, TX with three unique venues overlooking Lake Travis.

LAGO VISTA, TX, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Walters Wedding Estates celebrated the unveiling of the newest lakeside event and wedding venue, The Laiken, on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The celebration marks the milestone opening of the company’s newest Texas location, which consists of three unique venues: Lantana Lookout, The Laurelwood, and The Coral Heron. The gathering brought together local businesses in Lago Vista and the Hill Country, highlighting unique vendors across the events and hospitality space.

The venue debut, which followed an Amalfi After Hours theme, included a 2-hour venue sneak peek co-hosted by Wed Society Austin. More than 100 wedding industry professionals, local business owners, and community leaders attended the preview event. The public grand opening event also welcomed more than 400 guests, consisting of engaged couples who were able to experience the location’s three stunning venues first-hand.

Engaged couples and members of the local community were invited to experience food and entertainment from local vendors, all while enjoying the breathtaking Lake Travis views. Toast Entertainment provided a 360-degree photo booth and poolside DJ sets, while CoHost Entertainment and saxophonist Terry “Terry T” Thomas kept the music flowing indoors. From a culinary perspective, Austin-based The Cupcake Bar delighted guests with an interactive macaron service, while Aphrodite Oysters provided fresh shucked oysters for the summer soiree.

Local wine was sourced from nearby Flat Creek Estate Winery, an award-winning winemaker with a Hill Country vineyard located in the neighboring town of Marble Falls. Walters Wedding Estates and Flat Creek Winery will be partnering to provide local wine options for couples exchanging their vows at The Laiken, and the winery provides a stunning backdrop for wedding rehearsal dinners.

The Lago Vista property where The Laiken is located was originally acquired by Walters founders Keith and Sarah Walters nearly a decade ago. In recent years, the stunning waterfront property has been completely transformed into a multi-purpose event space complete with onsite accommodations for up to 58 guests, the second-largest infinity pool in the state of Texas, and a poolside clubhouse, The Coral Heron, designed to host a variety of intimate gatherings.

The Laiken’s grand opening comes just in time for March’s highly anticipated 2027 SXSW Festival, creating an additional opportunity for organizers looking to secure a luxury space to host satellite events during the festival. The Laiken is an expansion of the Walters collection of luxury venues that includes The Olana in Hickory Creek, TX, and the newly acquired Hadden Estate venue near Athens, GA.
