SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today Aron emerged from stealth with the first AI Chief of Staff for procurement teams. Aron is a digital employee that cleans and enriches spend and contract data, surfaces savings opportunities and runs the source-to-contract process autonomously, freeing up procurement teams to focus on strategic, higher-value work. Its customers span the mid-market to the Fortune 10.
TransPak Vice President of Global Supply Chain Scott Eisenberg said: “Aron was an incredibly successful AI deployment for our global procurement function. We started in MRO, saw ROI in the first month and deployed into our other categories. The biggest value isn’t cost savings, it’s time. It’s a Chief of Staff for our procurement team, handling the tactical work so they can stay on the strategic projects. Rather than imposing an external process, it adapts to the way we work. This allows our team to focus on critical priorities while Aron efficiently handles the rest in the background.”
Procurement Experts on Aron:
- “A Chief of Staff is the only role whose value is knowing everything but not executing a single thing. Attention, follow-through, sensing, memory, orchestration. Not one of those is a task. They are the connective tissue between tasks and that is precisely the part of procurement no system has ever automated. We spent the last 30 years automating the steps. The Chief of Staff automates the space between them,” said Dr. Elouise Epstein, Partner at Kearney.
- “Procurement workflow systems digitize and control transactions. I know, I’ve built these rule-based systems. But what was missing was really what all the transaction data was telling the organization – from ways to save money, be more efficient. Rather than hire consultants, we can now let Aron do the work. With no integration, Aron consumes every spend transaction, every contract, every policy and pinpoints real saving potential and then captures it,” said Noah Eisner, co-founder of Coupa.
Procurement remains one of the least automated functions in organizations. Teams are handed a savings target with a deadline but their spend, contract and policy data lives in different systems so they burn their capacity reconstructing what the company bought and what it agreed to pay. Meanwhile invoices drift off contracted prices, open orders slip and a daily queue of quotes, redlines and urgent requests pulls them off the initiatives they were hired to run. The money leaks while the team fights fires.
This is what led Apple veteran Dominic Toselli to found Aron. As head of Apple’s Worldwide Logistics Procurement, he negotiated with suppliers on its most demanding programs and built the cost models, supplier programs and data foundations underneath those strategies. Most of this was run through email and stitched together manually with spreadsheets.
“I’ve sat in the procurement manager’s seat and experienced this pain firsthand. I was handed savings targets with deadlines, spent a lot of my capacity mapping what we bought and what we agreed to pay and lost the rest to the daily fires: a supply line down, a team needing a vendor in two weeks, a one-off part somebody needed today. This pain I see across procurement as a whole. Now with Aron, teams can set strategy and make the calls. Aron does everything in between. Teams get their time back, and the CFO gets a number they can trust with fast ROI,” said Dominic Toselli, founder and CEO of Aron.
Aron is powered by a proprietary knowledge graph that joins spend, contract and project data across every system a procurement team runs, however unstructured or messy. It continuously enriches that graph by extracting invoice line-item data, analyzing negotiation results and surfacing supplier intelligence. This gives Aron the context to spot a savings opportunity, quantify it and act on it or handle a tactical request on its own.
Unlike solutions that focus on automating procurement workflows, Aron is focused on doing the work. It adapts to the environments procurement already operates in – email, Teams, Slack and even the phone – instead of asking a team to adopt another system. Users can forward an email to Aron, post in Teams or drop a file in a folder, and the work gets done: RFQs run over email, contracts redlined, invoices checked against contracted prices and suppliers held accountable on open orders.
Aron will be showcasing its AI Chief of Staff this month at Tomorrow’s Procurement Leader, Catalyst, ProcureCon East and DPW Amsterdam.
Aron Raises $8 Million in Funding
Today Aron also announced $8 million in funding. Storm Ventures led a $6 million seed, and Menlo Ventures led a $2 million pre-seed. The company will use the new funding to expand its engineering team and product.
“Aron delivers the first agentic AI Chief of Staff purpose-built for procurement. Aron does the work finding savings, handling the tactical work and executing across the systems and tools teams already use. Aron amplifies and extends a procurement team’s ability to do work driving hard ROI and giving teams the capacity to focus on decisions that actually matter,” said Ryan Floyd, founding Managing Director of Storm Ventures.
“Procurement is one of the largest and least digitized functions in industrial supply chains, and it’s where agentic AI has the clearest path to measurable ROI. While every vendor claims savings and efficiency, Aron actually delivers, which is why customers go from pilot to production quickly and why Menlo doubled down on its investment,” said Steve Sloane, Partner at Menlo Ventures.
