KNOXVILLE, TN – October 20, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Tennessee Standard Plumbing is running a limited-time October coupon that takes $1,150 off a heat pump water heater.
The savings combine $250 from Tennessee Standard Plumbing with the $900 TVA EnergyRight rebate, and both are taken off the customer’s price in the home at purchase, so there is no work or wait for the customer. The offer is made possible by the TVA EnergyRight rebate and is subject to availability and eligibility. The company’s heat pump water heater page explains the benefits of upgrading to a high-efficiency model.
According to the company, modern heat pump water heaters are designed to work efficiently through Knoxville’s colder months. Unlike traditional electric tanks that generate heat, heat pump water heaters transfer heat from the air around them into the tank, using significantly less electricity. The October savings lower the up-front cost of switching to this more efficient technology.
Tennessee Standard Plumbing provides residential and commercial plumbing services across the Knoxville area. The company serves Knoxville, Maryville, Oak Ridge and surrounding communities with a team of licensed plumbers.
Kelton Balka, owner of Tennessee Standard Plumbing, spoke about the October offer. “Many homeowners begin thinking about their water heaters right as the weather turns cooler, and that is often when an aging unit starts to show its age,” Balka said. “The October promotion gives residents a practical reason to consider a heat pump model, which uses less energy than a standard electric tank and tends to perform reliably over its lifespan.”
The company noted that heat pump water heaters are an option for homeowners seeking lower energy consumption, and that most homeowners experience lower utility bills while maintaining consistent hot water availability.
The units use a compressor and refrigerant cycle to move heat into the tank, and they include backup electric elements for consistent hot water in winter. According to the company, sizing depends on household size, water usage and peak demand, most installations are completed in one visit once the model and location are set, and routine care includes annual filter cleaning, coil care and condensate drain checks. By pulling warmth from the air rather than generating heat directly, these systems can reduce the amount of electricity used for water heating compared with traditional tank units. Tennessee Standard Plumbing installs and repairs tank and tankless water heaters, installs high-efficiency heat pump models, and offers water heater tune-ups.
“Our goal with every water heater installation is to match the household with the system that fits its needs,” Balka added. “A heat pump unit is not the right choice for every home, so our plumbers walk each customer through the available options before any work begins.”
Tennessee Standard Plumbing follows a four-step service process: scheduling the appointment, a professional evaluation, custom pricing options, and expert service delivery. Customers receive multiple options and a clear price before any work begins. The company also offers financing plans for plumbing projects or repairs as low as $1,000, so customers can find an option that fits their budget regardless of project size.
